This Week:
🚧 🫣Unstable Soil Conditions Were Discovered During Excavation, digging had to stop last week and most of this week to preserve the roadway edges and neighboring driveways. Digging relieves pressure, but then allows water to seep in from unknown areas. With liver sand found on both sides of the culvert and the channel sides over saturated with water the sides began to skiff in during digging in the center of the excavation area. You can see in image 1, an active area of liver sand. For safety reasons sheeting must be installed.
🚧Additional Sheeting Delivered. Staging and Installation began Thursday
Next Week:
🚧 Continue Sheeting Installation
🚧 Excavation Week begins Late in the Week
🚧 Dirty Water Dewatering Continues
🚧 Continue Additional Bypass Pumping as needed 🌧️
⚠️ Please slow down when diving down the temporary road. Collaboration with the Contractor, Town DPW, Lynch and The DNR will continue as we navigate these unforeseen challenges as efficiently as possible.
There will be weekly construction meetings (Thursdays) and Updates Posted on the Town Website and Facebook each Friday. Subscribe to the Town website to keep up with the latest information. *Text messaging notifications available*
