The Town of East Troy’s Compost Site, W1229 Hwy L, is open to residents of the Town of East Troy, the Town of Troy, and The Village of East Troy after a new Tri-Troy Alliance agreement in 2025

Town of East Troy Compost Site

The East Troy Compost Site opens the first Saturday in April, weather permitting. The site may remain open through early December, depending on weather conditions.

NOTE: The Town of East Troy operates the compost site through the second Saturday in November. Any operation after the second Saturday in November is managed by the Village of East Troy.

Hours of Operation

• First Saturday in April through Labor Day: Saturdays, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
• After Labor Day through early December: Fridays and Saturdays, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

Accepted Materials

The compost site accepts:

• Brush
• Leaves
• Branches up to 6 inches in diameter

Please remove all materials from bags before placing them at the compost site.

Stumps are not accepted.

Opening and operating dates are weather dependent and may be subject to change.
