WIS 20 Weekly Construction Update 04/19/2024

Hello,

With the progress being made this week with the storm sewer installation, the County ES south leg closure at WIS 20 is scheduled for Monday, April 29th. See attached for a flyer with details. You will see message boards going up on Monday to alert drivers to the anticipated closure and hopefully allow everyone to find an alternate route.

Also attached are some pictures of the work this week.

Traffic:

Access to Dollar General is available by using the median opening by McDonald’s/Shell and using the WIS 20 EB lanes to get to their driveway.

This Week:

  1. Continues road excavation and rock placement. Tuesdays and Thursday’s rain slowed some of this progress.
  2. Completed the storm sewer east of County ES. Work on remaining sewer will occur when CTH ES is closed.

Next Week:

  1. Continue roadway excavation and stone placement
  2. Prep for 21-day closure of the south leg of County ES.

Future Work (2 weeks+)

  1. South leg of County ES closure scheduled to begin on April 29th. Contractors will be heavily focused on this area to try and accelerate the progress and reduce the closure window if possible.

If you do not want to receive these updates, please let me know and I can remove you from the distribution list. Also, WisDOT has a project website set up for information that is more general than this email but could be useful if needed. https://projects.511wi.gov/20wal/
