Construction Update WIS 20

Hello,

 

The 2025 WIS 20 construction project is looking to start back up on Monday, May 12 with the closure of WIS 20 between Sterling Circle and County ES in East Troy. Below are some quick details about the project and a rough schedule.

 

A project brief and a detour map will be sent out next week with additional information, but I wanted to let the stakeholders know before the message boards go up on Monday.

 

Details:

  • WIS 20 will be detoured using I-43 and US 12  
  • The I-43/WIS 20 interchange will be open during this stage
  • Access to businesses located between Sterling Circle and County ES will be maintained
  • Anticipated to be completed by mid-late July

 

Rough Schedule (Weather Dependent)

  • May 12 to May 19 – Remove the remaining WIS 20 concrete pavement around the railroad tracks and place aggregates
  • May 19 to June 9 – East Troy Electric Railroad will replace their crossing
  • June 9 to mid to late July – Curb and Gutter, sidewalk, asphalt paving, pavement marking, and restoration activities.
